A journal of sorts.

I am an avid photographer with a love for digital processing. The Bearded One and I have become "Townies" once again and are in the process of transforming our suburban nest into a peaceful refuge.
This blog is where I like to stash things. An assortment of random thoughts, a recipe or two, a few of my favorite photos, and the processing thereof.

Sea shells on Sunday

Today's vintage valentine

Cottage Living

Today I spent the morning playing with my "light tent". I have been curious about doing some stock shots. I gathered some seashells, an old bottle, a little sand, and set my tent up on the table top ready to play. The "Bearded One" is quite understanding considering the fact that I was basically taking up half the house with my project.

One of the many, many, shots taken in the light tent

One of the purposes of stock photography is to provide images that can be combined with other images and graphics to convey a message or to advertise something. I thought that I would take my "sea-side" and make it appear a little more Tropical... with a slight vintage colorization.

Mid-winter beach fantasy

This is an example of what a light tent can do best... show a lot of details with very little distraction.
